About Lake Bronson

Lake Bronson Club Family Nudist Park is nestled in the Cascade Mountain foothills, 40 miles northeast of Seattle. This beautiful, 320-acre wooded park is open year round. It features a 7.5-acre spring-fed lake with swimming and sunning beach, and an 85-foot waterfall that cascades into the Sultan River. There are miles of hiking trails in the park.

Lake Bronson is a family-oriented nudist club, catering specifically to those who love nature and the great outdoors. All memberships include an affiliated membership with the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) and AANR-Northwest. This guarantees high standards, and your assurance of a warm welcome at more than 200 affiliated nudist parks and clubs throughout the United States and Canada.

Privacy and security are protected at the park as you enter through a locked gate. A park office is maintained to register visitors, provide information, and be of general assistance to members and guests.

Lake Bronson is a nudist club, not a clothing-optional club. It is expected that visitors, members, and their guests are nude whenever appropriate; and always nude in the lake, hot tub, sauna, and showers.

The success of Lake Bronson Club has always been because of its dedicated members. Lake Bronson Club is entirely operated by its volunteer members. All members assist where they can, taking into consideration their specific skills.

First Time Visitors

We love new visitors! We hope that you'll love it here, and we'll do all we can to make your visit comfortable and memorable.

Lake Bronson strives to be a family-friendly, safe, and relaxing place for all our members and visitors. To keep everyone safe, we require all visitors to show official government ID and to submit to a background check. In addition, all members and guests must all agree to follow our rules, and all posted notices in the park.

The basics

  1. Call ahead (360-547-3190) to get details, driving directions, and the current gate code.
  2. Arrive during office hours on Saturday or Sunday.
  3. Complete the visitor application form and agree to the Lake Bronson Family Nudist Club Rules.
  4. Show government ID for background check.

More information

  • You must call before your first visit (360-547-3190). We will give you instructions for the gate, and we'll make sure someone is staffing the office so you're not stuck waiting.
  • Arrive when the office is open. Registration forms must be completed and signed at the office upon entering the grounds, so first-time visitors need to arrive when the office is open.
  • ALL visitors must provide government-issued photo ID. If valid ID is not provided, entrance to Lake Bronson Club Family Nudist Park will not be permitted.
  • Visit between May and October to experience Lake Bronson at its best! We are a year-round club, and we have plenty to keep you busy year round, but you'll need to make arrangements for your visit because our office won't be open.
  • AANR member? When you call or email us, please share your American Association of Nude Recreation (AANR) membership number and club affiliation if you have one. If you are not an AANR member or a member of an affiliated club, you are still welcome.
  • Learn it. Know it. Live it. Please review Lake Bronson Family Nudist Club Rules before visiting. Visitors will be required to initial and sign these rules upon check-in.
  • Background checks keep everyone safer. We want to maintain a safe, secluded, family-oriented environment for enjoying nude recreation in a beautiful rustic setting. In order to preserve our safety and protect our members, Lake Bronson Family Nudist Club conducts a criminal background check and a sexual offender identification check on all visitors.
  • Lake Bronson is a private campground. We reserve the right to refuse admittance.

Please give us a call (360-547-3190) if you have any questions, or email us at office@lakebronson.com.

Each visitor is required to initial their agreement for each of these items when they register for their first visit.

Practice tolerance and respect

Participants agree to conduct themselves in accordance with the same high standards of mutual tolerance and respect which govern their actions in everyday life.

Demonstrate appropriate behavior

Participants agree to avoid behavior which is aggressive, harassing, embarrassing, overtly sexual, or otherwise inappropriate.

Parents are responsible for their children's conduct and safety at all times.

Nudity expected

Participants agree to not wear clothing in general. Clothing is allowed if the weather is inclement and to prevent sunburn. On certain days, women may choose to wear shorts or similar cover up. Respect our neighbors by keeping nudity confined to Lake Bronson Park.

Nudity required in water, on the dock, and in the sauna

Nudity is required in water areas at Lake Bronson, including while in the lake, on the dock, in the hot tub, and in the sauna.

Sit on your towel

Participants agree to always sit on their towel when nude, when using a chair, bench, sauna, or anywhere anyone else might sit.

Cover up while in kitchen, preparing, serving, or in line for meals

Participants agree to wear a bottom cover-up when entering or preparing food in the public kitchen, serving food, or going through the buffet service line at community functions.

Follow posted safety rules

Safety rules are posted near the beach, by the hot tub and spa, and at other locations. Please take the time to read them.

Follow campfire regulations

Participants agree to check at the office to see if conditions permit a campfire at the fire pit at the end of the RV Park and/or the Memorial fire Pit at the lodge. When you are the last one at the fire, you must extinguish the fire completely before leaving.

Keep pets leashed, and only where allowed

Pet owners agree to keep their pets under their control on a leash at their campsite or cabin and on perimeter roads. No pets are allowed on the beach, sunning lawn, in Lake Bronson facilities, or in daily rental units. Pet owners agree to immediately clean up after their pets. Service Animals may be exempt from the above rule upon approval from the board.

Follow all laws, including those for illegal drugs or underage drinking

Participants agree to observe all government laws at Lake Bronson Park, including those laws which prohibit the use of illegal drugs and underage drinking.

10 MPH speed limit in camp

Drivers agree to observe the 10 mph (16 kph) speed limit. Keep our roads safe, avoid spreading dust, and help us keep costs down.

No unapproved firearms

Participants agree to observe that weapons and firearms are not allowed at Lake Bronson Park unless approved by the Board of Directors.

Smoking or vaping in designated areas only

Smokers agree to smoke or vape only at their campsite and in designated community areas. Smokers agree to not smoke or vape on trails, in community buildings, or near doorways or windows of community buildings, and to use caution and courtesy in all areas.

Drink responsibly

Alcoholic beverages are permitted in moderation in the recreational areas and lodge. Participants agree to not leave alcohol behind in the lodge or other public areas.

No photos on beach or other shared areas

Participants agree that videos or pictures, regardless of device, are not allowed to be taken at the beach or other shared public areas. Pictures or videos taken at club events are allowed in posted photo areas, and are not allowed where someone might inadvertently appear in the picture. Pictures taken for publicity or commercial purposes require written permission of the Lake Bronson Board of Directors.

Membership Process

Start the interview process by sending an email to membership@lakebronson.com. We'll get back to you with everything you need to know.

Requirements:

  • To request an interview, email membership@lakebronson.com in advance of your visit. It takes some time to schedule the one-hour visit with two members of our membership committee, so the more notice you give us, the better.
  • You need to have recently visited Lake Bronson Club as an approved visitor 3 to 5 times within the prior 14 months before applying for membership (finished paperwork, passed the background check, etc.)
  • Single adults, married or committed couples, and their minor children are all welcome to apply for membership.
  • A minimum of three interviews will take place, each on a separate visit. Each must be at least one week apart. This gives you time to experience the club, and gives us time to get to know you.
  • Everyone that will be included in your membership needs to be present during the interview, including children if possible.
  • For each interview, you will be scheduled to meet with two people from our membership committee. The purpose of these interviews is to get to know each other better, and for you to have a chance to ask questions about our club.
  • All interviews will be conducted in the nude, because we are a nudist club (not clothing-optional), and you should be comfortable with nudity. If it is cold, a warm location will be selected.
  • All three interviews must be completed within a year of starting them.
  • After your final interview, your membership application will be voted on by the membership committee at their next meeting (usually held monthly). After the committee votes, you will be contacted via email regarding the status of your application.
  • You must pay for your membership within one year after committee approval, or you will need to repeat the interview process.
  • If your membership application is denied, you will not be allowed to return to our club, even as a visitor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is nudism appropriate for families?

Absolutely! Nudism is about body acceptance and body awareness, which makes it appropriate for everyone.

What if I'm ready, but my spouse (partner, or friend) isn't?

This is common. Typically, women are more wary than men, but everyone—male and female—can have 'body issues.'

What do I need to bring on my first visit?

  • Government Issued Photo ID
  • Towels (at least 2)
  • Sunblock and bug spray
  • Food and beverages
  • Sneakers and flip flops/sandals
  • Flashlight

Do we have to get undressed on this first visit?

Yes, that's why you are visiting, right? We are a nudist resort, not a clothing-optional resort.

Where can we get meals here?

Unlike years past, we no longer have a cafe. If you are planning to visit, we encourage you to bring your own food and beverages.

Is there Internet access and cell phone coverage?

Some, but escaping to the lake is an opportunity to get away from all of the cares, worries, and stress of everyday life.
